Crogus Interactive is a video game developing company, which is most well known for creating and publishing the Scrimmy Bingus and the Crungy Spingus series. They have created games for almost every console and platform, but were most successful at creating games for the PC.

History[]

Crogus Interactive was founded in 1979 by a group of people who somehow remained mostly anonymous throughout their lives. They created games for family members at first, but later began distributing titles starting from 1981.

For an unknown reason, Crogus found it easiest to sell most of their games exclusively in the country of Somalia, where it has a small cult following. The first title they published was called Scrimmy Bingus and the Crungy Spingus. This video game was extremely popular in Somalia upon release. Although less than 1% of people in Somalia had computers or game consoles at that time, Crogus Interactive was able to get their games to a higher percentage of people in Somalia. They did this by persuading computer & game console owners to create “arcades” where people could pay to play Scrimmy Bingus games.

Seeing an opportunity, Crogus began to create many sequels to this title, and rarely produced anything but Scrimmy Bingus media, an exception being the video game Yup, It's a Pup. This new IP was gratuitously advertised but ultimately failed to meet expectations. The game was recalled, but a minority still owns copies.

Due to its popularity, Crogus Interactive held a few conventions for fans of their work. In 2015, Crogus went out of business after filing for bankruptcy due to lawsuits over Scrimmy Bingus for the 3DS. Their website was closed subsequently. Several staff members at Crogus Interactive HQ participated later in burning down the building and evading police. The company hasn't been heard from since.

Real Life[]

Crogus Interactive is a fictional company created by musician Willow Queen, who previously went by the moniker Utentagen.

Willow Queen uploaded a video to YouTube and Tumblr in 2014 showing simulated gameplay of an unknown version of SB&CS. This video displays a traditional point-and-click style game with disturbing content. She has also produced music introducing her own canon, including an album titled ScrimmyTunes and a "sequel album" titled Scrimmy Is Going Home. Today, Queen forms one half of the band Dream Puzzles, and has stopped using the Utentagen moniker.
